I’d just like to thank you so much for giving your time and advice to Martin on how to upgrade his play up in Wolverhampton. Meeting you has really made this one great year for him.
It was really great to have a 'yarn' with you on the mobile this morning. I think that Martin asked you if you had heard of Jim Pike darts, well I've 'cut and pasted' this bit of information for you.
London 1937. The late and great Jim Pike went around the board on doubles, retrieving his own darts, in the time of 3 minutes 30 seconds. He did this shooting from the old distance of 9 feet. He was a darts legend in England in the 1930's, and was such a marksman that he could shoot a cigarette from someone's mouth with a dart - and stick it in any double.
It was using a set of Jim Pike darts that my husband Chris hit his one and only 180 in a match.
Look forward to meeting you if you ever decide to come to Wales - as I said there's always a bed here for you to rest your head (wife included).
